How is the working, single person supposed to have a puppy?

Because I tried getting a dog from a shelter, 95% all banned breeds or dogs that don't suit my lifestyle. Fun fact I was in the process of adoption and I was straight up lied to about their history with fighting & biting dog/children as well as their medical issues just about as I left the building with paperwork was not told once in person. And I live in a complex where children and other dogs are especially in the park.

So then I tried rescues, rejected every single time I applied for a dog for not having a yard. Well okay, the literal expansive park. It has trail and a lake in the middle and I put that all in the notes. Still rejected. I work from home, I take frequent walks to said park during my breaks and I have a great stable job. I can do it.

This went on for 3 months over a 200 mile search for a dog, it was exhausting so i got a puppy instead.
