This dude sucks. The only time I'd question it (just in my head) is if it was a date through an app and the woman had looks that took time in every pic. But then like showed up very casual. Just because I'd personally feel like oh maybe this person isn't interested in me like I thought they may be. And that is just a personal insecurity that quickly goes away once I would talk to them and be on the date. And if they aren't interested their loss. But makeup isn't reflective of interest.

Your situation wasn't you were lounging around all day eating food and went out with a stained shirt and hair a mess. You were running late w/ work and gave him notice and an option to reschedule. He should accept who you are w/o makeup and appreciate that. He should appreciate you were considerate of making an impression and even though you had a long day of work decided to go out w/ him.
