Humans are inherently selfish and it's kinda alright

I agree for the most part, except for suicide. I guess this is probably an unpopular opinion in of itself, but I do believe that suicide is the most selfish thing you can do. I’ve had 3 experiences of suicide, two are second-hand and one is first-hand. My first-hand account was not an attempt, but was heavy consideration when I was younger. I never attempted because a family member of mine found out and talked to me about how she had felt similarly when she was in HS, the only difference is she had attempted. And we both agreed that neither of us were thinking about anyone but ourselves and the pain that we were going through. We didn’t have the foresight to see that we would have as good of a life as we ended up having. My only other experience with suicide was with a man I had trusted very dearly. I treated him like family and so did he. He was the youth minister at my church for about 2-3 years before suddenly resigning to go work at another church. Well, apparently he was a pedophile. And when my church called him to tell him an investigation was being launched he killed himself the next day. He hurt people, he hurt kids that trusted him and he never once got the punishment that he deserved. Hell be damned, those kids deserved to see that man in prison and see him get the consequences of his actions. Instead he left his wife and kids alone to clean up the mess he made. He was most selfish man I had ever known, and I never knew about it until after he was dead.
