A hypothetical question: What kind of content does a game need to deliver to be condemned by males as a game primarily marketed for female gamers?

The problem is, and has always been, about the quantity.

Is it really? There is no way around that, not even in the slightest? From what I've read here, a lot of people seem to think the same way. As long as there are enough games marketed at males no one cares if the next Barbie game contains a playable Ken or not. In other words: A game such as Assassin's Creed doesn't need a female protagonist because there's still the Sims/Mass Effect, right?

Females don't have a problem with male leads just the same as males don't have a problem with female leads. Correct? There is nothing in the world that could make you think 'I know this game was intentionally designed for women, but hey, my voice as a male should matter'?

Imagine a new MMORPG scifi game in which females leave earth and discover alien races. The player can build ships ingame and travel space, go on planetary missions, trade, go to war. Almost all males were eliminated by a virus, the ones who remain are brain dead and are being used as donors for future generations. I mean that's what the producer says, as you're able to command your ship and many things more via voice commands (first game ever to fully support that) and scan your picture to personalize your character's face (beards would have been to complicated to implement).

I mean you can chill in the next lounge listening to one direction with your friends and plot the next step to expand your new amazon empire while looking thru your VR headset at advertisement of makeup brands. On top of that, the game is just drop-dead gorgeous. Planets rotate slowly in the light of the next star that is about to blow up and destroy everything if you're not careful enough. But it's not really accessible for males, voice recognition prevents it. The producer wants to achieve the perfect immersion, a simulated world without the influence of men.

Would you not knock on the publisher's door asking for a voice modulator? I mean, Jesus Christ, it's biggest space sage ever, filled with content for years to come. The Media says it's the freshest thing since the invention of the dish washer and even Buzz Aldrin would have thought the experience was real. Could there ever a be breaking point were you probably would say 'enough is enough'? Why not male models?
