What I find fascinating is how the United Kingdom could punish a kind and innocent person, in such brutal and heinous fashion, someone was arguably the most important unknown hero of World War II. An individual who made critical contributions necessary for the Allies to win the war and, it could be said, did more than anyone else to shape the world we live in today, a world of peace instead of one of fascist tyranny.
At the same time, the United Kingdom lauded, promoted and ignored an ACTUAL villain for over half a century, Queen Elizabeth even going so far as knighting him and an OBE. Even after numerous people filed reports, even after a popular singer tried to make autorities aware of it. Nope, brushed aside by the BBC, swept under the rug by the Crown.
I mean, fucking hell Brits wtf you people smoking over there.
