If given the chance to join [AC]

Hi,

Although we've never actually met in person, I've come across you different times on different characters and I like and agree with most of your opinions on the Planetside 2 subreddit. I've talked to you under a different name in stream chats and on other Reddit accounts. You seem like a pretty dedicated player who still plays the game consistently on a server where your TR faction has a poor variety of options. You seem like one of the few actually decent infantry players without an outfit on TR. I don't know if you have any alts or any characters in other outfits, but I have a proposal of sorts for you.

How would you feel about hopping in our mumble and playing with AC?

A little bit of background, hear me out here as well as correct me if I'm wrong: You're a primary heavy infantry player (THEPIPESOFVICTORY) who seems extremely dedicated to TR as well as still playing this shitty game. You seem like a generally cool guy, but you do not have an outfit and seem to generally solo at this point. You recognize the problems with this game as well as having a good understanding of the playerbase and individual players themselves. I have heard that you at one time played bagpipes in prox chat. I've heard you were a former NUC player yet you haven't joined up with the DD12 guys or the few who still carry the NUC tag.

All that being said, I like you, or at least the perception you give off to me as someone who has never actually talked to you. I think TR really got a lot of the short end of the stick both community-wise as well as in their infantry weapons. Sure, they have the jaguar and some pretty damn good medic guns, but it seems like you are still mostly a heavy player. I do have to ask, have you ever played on other factions? Have you ever wanted to play with a competent group of people? AC at this point is pretty much playing all factions without any set schedule or anything.

I think you've seen some AC streams. D1s is an angry often confused drunk, Lex is an asshole, etc. I do have to say, despite the noticeable bias a decent amount of AC players give to VS or NC, many of us have pushed for the devs to actually balance the weapons better regardless of factions. Visi's conversation with Higby on twitter was at least partly responsible for the changes they want to make to the GODSAW. There are more than a few AC that have also pushed for TR buffs and hate a lot of the problems with heavy assault weapons on TR. Many openly acknowledge VS (and NC to some degree) superiority in many weapons. At this point in the game's life who knows how much the devs will actually implement in terms of balance even if we all made arguments, and with the return of TR muzzle flash with particles distance changes I don't really see the point of TR players playing only TR anymore. Not to say that we will ever stop playing TR, it has its high points and good weapons as well as being a good change of pace, but I would like to ask if you would like to hop in our mumble and play with us on all factions or even just join us on our TR outfit.

AC is not currently actively recruiting, and since vonic and others recently joined D1s and visi have some sort of delusion that makes them want to currently put a hold on recruitment "to integrate new people better". This decision, in my opinion, is bullshit. Although I've been spending less time playing planetside 2 lately due to real life stuff I am still am going to argue that they should be more open to a few requests we've had recently from people I like. AC is doing okayish right now in terms of having active members. We've had periods of time where we had almost no one playing and still survived, but we're not exactly getting our ~2 squad max on a consistent basis, and if there's a lack of bug fixes or a better game coming out I could see a lot of people leaving. That being said, if you want I can give you our mumble information and you're more than free to join anytime and ask for a squad invite. AC doesn't really actively pursue players even if they are applying, so there may be some asking you would have to do, but you would have my encouragement even if dis or someone says we're not letting anyone in.

The reason I'm sending this message is I'm feeling kind of sentimental about the planetside 2 community. Not the general Planetside 2 community or anything, but I was definitely a fan of a lot of the relatively small but active good infantry players that agreed on a variety of ideas concerning the game. There are a lot of people that I've met through planetside 2 that come from a lot of different types of gaming backgrounds and I'd like to still try to form as much of a community as possible around these types of players before the game dies. There's no reason why primary infantry outfits should have the type of rivalry that still exists at this point in time, especially with a lot of the people that I liked from DA not playing anymore. I'd rather have as much of a group together as possible of cool people who are really good at infantry and both have at least some activity on live and do some internal scrims and stuff mixing up teams on Jaeger (not all AC, but some might be interested if we had a community large enough to do stuff as a group both on and off of live on a consistent basis before this game dies). This isn't some sort of recruitment post, but rather just me noticing you as a decent player who seems to mostly run solo, and given the very uncertain future of this game and the Emerald TR outfits I'd like to bolster our group of good infantry players before the death of this game. In a perfect world a wide variety of top-tier outfits would exist across factions and while they would still play with each other, there would be a lot of different options as well as a certain competitiveness (even in this shitty game made mostly of bad players with bad ideas). Unfortunately, I don't think this is likely in the future, and I'd rather the good player infantry community form more together than apart. There are just too many cool guys who are good players that don't even play anymore.

You don't have to accept this or anything, but I would at least like to hear your thoughts as someone who seems to have played solo for quite a while despite other outfits probably looking at your stats and asking you to join.
