I'm 17, do I have a receding hairline?

Yeah I think the Pura D'Or can't hurt, I'm currently using the Regenepure and run it in my hairline and crown and let it sit for a while. If it has ketoconazole, saw palmetto, b6, and zinc oxide in it, I think it can only help. I need to be more consistent using it (I left it at college the past month and a half) but the company itself on Amazon claims there will be a "shedding phase," which should be correct based on what most experts say on lowering DHT for treating hair loss.

I was taking creatine almost daily for the last 4 months. I agree. Helps so much with weight gain and the pump while lifting. But a quick google search of how to increase DHT saying creatine is the best bet......yeah, never taking it again.

What happened to your friend's hair? Took it for a little while, probably maintained his hair, got off and lost a bunch? That's my biggest fear in it honestly. Not so much the side effects, just that I could help accelerate hair loss when I don't even know if I really have MPB yet (at this point I can't tell).

This is purely anecdotal, but of the 10 people I know who lift the most, 2 of them have perfect hairlines. 4 or 5 have hairlines similar to me, and the other 3/4 are somewhere in between but are a few years younger. Super super interesting to look at that objectively.

Super hot showers is also interesting - I've heard that as well. Moderate or cool/cold showers have tons of health benefits anyway that I think I may start taking them again. I know some on the internet claim that they lose the most hair when it's hot out and their head gets "burnt" or they have a "hot scalp." Something like that. I just can't imagine hot weather or water would be beneficial for something as delicate as hair follicles.

Man I just wish the medical field took this subject matter more seriously. It's not life-death for 99.9% of the population but it might be the most important feature of most men's body that would negatively affect them if it changed (besides other obvious things). It seems like Merck the powerhouse was pretty interested in finding a drug they could market and make money on and that there hasn't been due diligence done in the hair loss field. Hopefully in the next 10/15 years (and now) they'll be finding products that are natural and absolutely proven to work. They've come far in the last 10 years but I feel like there's a lot more to do. I think most people who could afford it would pay $50 per month to preserve their hair if they KNEW it worked and didn't have side effects (let's face it. blasting your DHT when you're in your 20s, like you said, is not smart). They could make billions. Every single generation would be on it

Seems like we have similar genetics and progression with hair - nice talking to you man
