I'm currently stuck in an elevator. AMA

Man I've got stuck in an elevator 3 times in one year (different ones) and never before or after.

The first time it was just me and a friend in uni halls, totally fucking wasted. Pretty sure we were jumping around that it stopped. Took like 45 minutes to get us out. We managed to pry open the door a little, just enough for people to hand us drinks and cigarettes (we were between floors).

Second time sucked, I was in halls again (different building) having a few civil drinks with gf at the time and some of her friends for her birthday. I was going out of the building to have a cigarette and decided to see what would happen if I pried the door apart a little while it was moving.. The lift stopped. I was trapped. No signal on my phone but the guy on the alarm button thing said it'd take about 2 hours to get me out. Girlfriend thought I'd bailed. All of a sudden about 25 minutes later. the lift started moving and the door opened with a random girl standing at the elevator. Turned out of someone just needed to call it to make it work again. She looked very concerned about me being so happy to see her.

Third time was the best. We were at a run down block of flats after a party. It was about 5am and everyone was totally wasted. The lift looked about 50 years old and predictably moved about three feet before stopping. However, this elevator had a single door that slid all the way so there was no chance of prying it open, especially with the sweat created by 9 wasted people in a lift. Some people were claustrophobic and freaking out. Thankfully we had bags full of alcohol to keep us amused. We tried the alarm button and the person said it'd be hours before someone was available so we drunkenly started telling them there was children with us. Someone came in 30 minutes.

All in all. Good times. 7/10 would get trapped in a lift again.
