I'm really concerned for feminism. I suppose I'm just looking for reassurance. (x-post from /r/offmychest)

The problem with feminism is that the odds have now tipped into the favor of women than men in the US, and that's a hard pill to swallow, and I'll be downvoted by this sexist sub. And yet, feminism continues to push for more rights to take away from men.

So let's look-

Affirmative Action- State- sanctioned discrimination. This allows entities to choose candidates and give preferential treatment based on gender or race.

Dating- Easier for women. Women no longer have to wait for men to be approached, and can select the best of males.

Abortion- Only a woman can choose whether or not to abort a baby. If the man wants to keep his child, no dice. If a man doesn't, then the man is forced into paying child support.

Jail- If a man cannot pay child support, he goes to jail. If a woman cannot support her children, she gets food stamps, public housing, welfare.

Divorce- Woman more likely to get kids, money. Even as a man you start your own business and build it up from nothing, apparently she owns it too. Supporting a woman for a year until she can provide for herself isn't a problem, it's when it goes on for years and tips in favor of women. Women really run the gauntlet on this one.

Adoption- Hard for single men to adopt

Domestic violence, rape help- Essentially none existent for men

The draft- Women don't have to sign up

there's plenty of other non- institutional problems as well

I mean, what IS feminism at this point? What the hell are you fighting for? More women are graduating college, young women make more than men. There's no longer institutional sexism towards females, it's towards males.

The only thing you can complain about is stuff like rape, which is not state- sanctioned. Also huge strides have been made. Look at Bill Cosby as the accusations alone.
