Infused are the proper team, Obscene are the mix. Infused have been practicing together prior to this event, meanwhile the Obscene individuals are pretty much just a mix.

HOWEVER, there is a lot of history between weber & jakem playing together both online & offline since Source days and weber & Kryptix (who is one of the best UK upcoming talents atm) were together (and as I am told, are still together under an FM lineup) for the Katowice Last Chance Qualifiers where they made the finals and lost narrowly. Individually the players within the Obscene line up are some of the most raw skilled in UK CS. Which actually suits their aggressive random mix style of play very well, hence why they always seem to come to UK LAN events and almost always surprise and get a podium finish.

JT is ironically an ex-infused player, he was part of the infused line-up that competed at G3 (and as we all know, were very close to some upsets and put up a great fight) alongside HudzG, RedsnK & tsack so not only will he know a lot about them & vice versa but you can argue (if you believe in this kind of thing) that there's probably some hunger for JT to try and get one over his ex-teammates. Meanwhile Keita (not jamem) is also a player who has been floating around at the top tier of the UK scene since Source - not really playing in any solid lineups - but always at events as part of mixes and as always showcases that individually he has the aim to play a solid game & compete.

Infused, despite being a proper team, haven't been together for too long as this particular five (only RedsnK, tsack & HudzG have really had a real prolonged period of time together - so make of that what you will). fearLess was recently their 5th however roster changes (again, very recently - typical UK scene) has resulted in him losing his spot to supposed Dutch wonderkid CRUC1AL (who Henry rates very highly).

We see the return of HenryG & HudzG, the ex CGS London Mint duo back together, so one cannot count out the experience which these players bring to the table.

I'm running out of time as I'm actually at the event, but the main key thing to look at here is that yesterday both these teams played versus each other in a BO3 which Infused won 2-1. Infused LOST on de_nuke. Infused WON on de_cache. Infused WON on de_mirage. All 3 games saw both teams go in to double figures and the scores were incredibly tight, with little to nothing between the sides (we cannot remember the exact scores, despite casting them lel).

So, realistically, Infused should still come out on top. Particularly with it being the final and motivation boosted along side the ONE MAP ADVANTAGE they have for coming through the UPPER BRACKET. However, Obscene have already played today - if that means anything to you. (Chances are, Weber is probably throwing for skins anyways, Kappa) BUT do NOT count Obscene out. Individually they have the skill. If Infused find themselves at 1-1 or 2-1 down, the premature line-up could see their heads drop & the more relaxed pressure-less Obscene play more of a random mix style of play and as we've seen it time after time again (particularly on less team oriented maps like de_dust2) cause the upset.

My odds are personally, 70/30 in favour of Infused. If it wasn't for the map advantage, probably 65/35 simply based off how close their BO3 was yesterday. BUT please bare in mind that teams can earn more throwing for skins than winning the event/finishing 2nd... sad but true. So bet wisely and that's all I have time to say coz I'm at the event and g2g, cya
