The INTP Life Event Timeline

This is a fun idea! Mine will be a bit different though....

•1990 - born in Sri Lanka, first child, Buddhist family with middle-High income(for a developing country).
•1996 - 1st week in school, peed my pants. Dad got a computer, didn’t have internet, played games like dangerous Dave and prince of persia.
•1998 - brother was born, parents fight a lot, get shouted at a lot, cry a lot(goes on till early teen years). Read my first book(not counting children’s books) which was 2001: Space odyssey and finished the entire series, started watching the documentaries in discovery channel(which was shown in a public TV), started watching english TV shows and movies(X-files, Knight rider etc.).
•1999 - encountered my first bully, punched the bully, no one tried to bully me after that. Also parents start sending me to private tuition after school(which is common where I'm from)
•2000 - passed the first important standardized test but fell short of being selected to the best public school in the country by 2%.
•2003 – got laid for the first time(after that I’ve been with couple of girls, no serious relationships though), almost died from malaria.
•2004 – stated getting depressed, 1st suicide attempt(gave up when I found out that to purchase sleeping pills, you need a prescription from a doctor).
•2007 – got my first mobile phone(parents didn’t let me use one before), started doing Advanced Level exams(which is extremely competitive as it’s score is the selection criteria for public universities, which again was not my choice)
•2009 – got really depressed, moved in with grandparents, did the Advanced level exam and got selected to a good public university(didn’t go despite my parents tied to force me to).
•2010 – moved to the capital city and started doing an IT undergrad degree, started taking antidepressants
•2012 – realized that I don’t want to be in the country because the strict culture doesn’t fit me. Started a second degree with an Affiliated university with USA in management
•2014 – stopped taking antidepressants. Started eating healthy and taking supplements (vitamins, minerals) after doing my own research on depression and bipolar(it worked!). Finished the IT degree, moved to the in the US to complete the Management degree.
•2015 – found out I was INTP(late to the party, I know!!)
•2016 – graduated and waiting for Optional Practical Training authorization to work in the US
