Nah.

As someone actively enjoying the gameplay of Overwatch 2 who hates the monetisation, I’m delighted to see it dragged through the mud. Because they’re relying on the wave of kids who don’t know any better from Fortnite.

Those kids are easily influenced by streamers and YouTubers. If they’re kicking up a stink, the kids won’t pick it up - but most importantly - they won’t pay up.

And then Blizzard will be forced to cater for the old guard. The dedicated players from Overwatch 1 who knew a better system first hand. And they’ll be forced to dial back their greed or have the game wilt on the vine.

Sometimes tough love is necessary. We may genuinely need to see the game collapse alittle before any meaningful change comes from Blizzard’s end.

Or not. Maybe things will remain exactly as they are.
