Douglass* was for women's voting rights, as well as those of former slaves. I misspelled his name, but you obviously were smart enough to pick up on where I was heading, which is great.

Also, I wouldn't be so quick to use him in substance of your example, because Douglass* was staunchly pro-life, which it seems you were not aware of.
