Joe Biden plans to cut taxes, boost health care and reduce college debt during his first term

The ACA’s support is also softening while support for a public option increases. Its flaws (I know Senate moderates and the courts gutted the original plan) have been completely laid bare by the pandemic. Employer determined health insurance doesn’t work when you have double digit unemployment and a major health crisis. Things like COBRA are a complete joke and hardly anyone who just lost a job could afford it. I think not getting behind a public option and making the party line to preserve and maybe tinker with Obamacare is and was a major whiff by the Dems and they need to get onboard with at least a public option rather than go down with the sinking ship of Obamacare.
