Joe Biden wins Wisconsin

It’s a pretty big (too big; logically falls apart) leap to say that because a certain ideology doesn’t see value in socialized assets, it is somehow driven by hatred of thy neighbor.

I get that emotions run high during election periods, that the internet is largely a place to get your views reaffirmed and not challenged, etc; but when you have a calm moment, try to reexamine the flaws in your reasoning. There might be plenty of humanly relatable reasons why someone would oppose these schemes, instead of unbridled selfishness and seething hatred for fellow citizens.

Take it from someone who has gone out of his way to vote against Trump (express mail from here is expensive), and is more of a net contributor to socialized systems (hint: lives, willingly, in Europe) than you can fathom. There are reasons for pooling together these resources in a transfer by those who pay for them to those who use them, and that’s part of the contract I’ve signed up for, but the overall experience is not nearly as rosy, gratifying, efficient or high-minded as you make it out to be.
