Jordan Peterson fan shuts down any argument by claiming they are "butthurt" for not thinking Peterson is about "championing truth, reason, logic and accountability". Self reflection not even once.

That isn't really the point. It's the goal of being as perfect as you can be, in any situation you're in. The world is not fair, it is not good, and it is not designed for the best interest of each individual. Within that world, you have your room to do the best you can do improve yourself and your situation. Many people who don't have it on the worse end of the extreme do not realize it. Speaking it, or saying you "know" it, is not realizing it if it isn't realized in your life. -- That doesn't mean you can't go out and do your best to change the world or change one person at a time even. But it is just important to have also changed yourself in the best ways you can. -- I don't really know what you want from the advice to be honest. A piece of self help advice can range quite a bit, it doesn't have to be applicable in all situations or to all people. Most self help advice is generalizations because most self help ultimately comes from the individual, it just depends on which perspective they needed to hear from someone else to get them on track.

"Set your house in perfect order before you criticize the world" -- Yes I can see why you could make the connection it is used to keep people down or from fighting injustice. However it doesn't have to be used in that context. From what I have seen of JP he specifically states many people have extremely shitty lives, terrible situations and everything else. Those people still should adopt the philosophy of doing the best they can with the hand theyre dealt. It doesn't mean don't fight injustice. -- Honestly that piece of look inwards before changing the world when said was geared more towards the pseudo oppressed of our society. There is a lot of people who exaggerate their oppression and do not have a realistic sense of the world or what they actually deserve. There are oppressed people in the world, and most of them are not in the USA.
