u/the_chilean, I agree about the liberals thing. I agree with many things that the left espouses - they stand up for the common man, the marginalized groups, the lay workers, etc. but one thing that they got dead wrong is that they do not want to see dissent when it comes to the topic of Islam. You can't be open about opposing Islam or thinking that Islam is not good for society or that Islam could even be responsible for terrorism itself. Even with the Sri Lanka attacks, liberals are bringing up Islam when condolences by people are being offered for the attacks on the churches. Anyway, back to the subject at hand -

My dad knows that I don't want to be Muslim, and he doesn't like it at all and never got over it and still thinks that it's the best religion, etc. I think that many people's parents here are worse than my dad, but it still has caused so much heartache for me.
