What’s with non-whiskey people gravitating towards Calumet so often? The only time I see people post it here is when the title says something like “not a whiskey person, just picked these up, how are they?”

Man they’re like $150 a bottle. If they’re barely posted on here, if they’re not a name you’re familiar with, why would you buy them? You can get reputable, good bourbon for less than that.

Seems like a big $300 risk buying bottles that aren’t as well known and aren’t shown on here almost ever. Not saying they’re bad drinks, just strikes me as odd seeing several “non-whiskey” people drop $150/bottle on Calumet instead of Barrell, Wild Turkey, Four Roses, Buffalo Trace, etc etc offerings for less money and better reputation.
