It gets to a point where it's not acceptable. If you have a friend who has been married fora few years and you feel "Ew, why does his wife dare speak to me?!" then it may be time to acknowledge you have an issue and need to remove yourself from that "friendship."

Because it's not reality. In real life, friends grow up and get married and you either accept that or you move on and detach from them. The wife should not feel she can't speak to you. If you can't respect the marriage, do not have married friends.
