Obama took over during a financial meltdown and central bank liquidity inflated asset prices and there was no surplus during the Obama years. We’ve been in a deficit spending nightmare due to an addiction of low rates and central bankings injection of capital to prop asset prices. Trump will face a recession it will get blamed on a trade war when in fact the cause of the recession is debt.
