Korean stars vulnerable to excessive public outrage

honestly people need to stop caring unless celebs are hurting others. if theyre just dating someone, or having issues with their s/o, or having conflicts between a group thats NONE of our business. like seo yejis already had to leave her drama because of this “scandal” when all it is is a fight between a couple, she even said it was the same toxicity from both sides. what we should talk about is dispatch HACKING into their private conversation and posting them for millions to see? weve ALL been toxic or said horrible things to others, but it wasnt exposed to the world for judgement. how can we look at that and say “shes so horrible cancel her!” when weve all had our bad moments? its completely and utterly unfair. same thing with bullying scandals. of course bullying is horrible, but if an idol is 30 and you come out saying “they bullied me when i was 12!!” ill feel bad i guess, but theres no need to ruin someones career over that. it’s ridiculous. people focus on that and ruin careers but someone like jung joonyoung inly got five years in prison for his groupchat and literally r*ping women. what are your priorities??

plus, we dont ask doctors to reveal their personal lives to us so we can judge them. recently Scarlett Johansson said that her political views and opinions shouldn’t matter because she’s just there to act and i completely agree. idols and actors are just that, nothing more. i dont know why they ascended to god level but its JUST their jobs. we have no right to their personal lives and it shouldnt affect how their jobs.

im still going to watch seo yeji. why? shes a good actress and i dont care about her relationship issues. i probably wont watch jisoo. why? some of his allegations include sexual assault.

please get it out of your heads that youre entitled to these peoples problems.
