Given what you said in your comment, it's not unreasonable for me to surmise that you haven't experienced that kind of situation or panic. If you and the others had experienced it, you wouldn't have noted and been critical that the character didn't stop to let someone comfort her at that very moment.

So, how do you get my being condescending and tone deaf out of that? People have different experiences and so we see things in different ways. You'll have some that I don't have and I'll have some that you don't have. So, how is it condescending for me to notice and comment on that fact? I'm not putting you down for not having the same experiences as me. Good for you if you haven't experienced that kind of embarrassment and panic. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

The thing is that you've attacked me as condescending and tone deaf before ... so, if you repeatedly interpret my words in that way, and it bothers you enough to insult me ... I'm going to suggest that you be nice and block me instead.
