Last straw today...

You gotta see it from leadership's perspective. You are getting out, you have no value to the team anymore. CQ is a necessary evil, so if I have a mission coming up or we need to prep for it, I'm absolutely going to send the dude to CQ that isn't going to the field or needs to prep for it. Why would they let you just hang out and lose one of their dudes for 48 hours that has an Army job to do later in the week?

It's like Officers that drop refrads in the middle of their command and are shocked when they get a Q or HQ.

When you decide to get out, you become canon fodder. That's just how it is. We are not very sympathetic, because in a few days or weeks you'll be out of the army, free from the everyday bullshit the rest of us are going through and you don't have to sleep in the mud for a week in the cold ass rain for your paycheck.

Can't have your cake and eat it to man.
