Alright. I'll list every decently successful anime adaptation then:

Corpse Party
Da Capo
Danganronpa
F-Zero
God Eater
.hack
Inazuma Eleven
Kanon
Kantai Collection
Kirby
Le Fruit de Grisaia
Little Busters
Maplestory
Medabots
Monster Hunter (October Release)
Persona 3
Persona 4
Persona 4 Golden (Same thing as 4 but with one new character)
Pokemon
Rage of Bahamut: Genesis
Steins;Gate
Tales of Abyss
Tales of Eternia
Tales of Phantasia, etc.
The Idolmaster
Viewtiful Joe
Yokai Watch
You can pull any game off that list, all I'm saying is that there are more horror stories than success stories, so pointing out the few that were successful (if you can really call it that) doesn't do the argument justice.
And, what I'm saying is that it's not just a "few". I'm putting out actual examples that heavily outnumber your outdated examples. There's already a lot that I didn't include because those games covered a niche market. My point is that video game adaptations do not fail hard enough to make it so that it's not worth investing in. Otherwise, you would see a decrease of video game adaptations in Japan; yet, you see about 2-5 game adaptations per season. You hardly seem knowledgeable on video game to anime adaptations based on your almost 20-year old examples.
It's just a matter of whether or not it's worth it, and seeming as how Japan is one of the smaller markets for Riot, it doesn't seem like it would be worth it comparatively.
Yes, I have already agreed to this.
