Left out.

Delete facebook and any social media you have. I stopped using FB since 2017, now I am earning 6 digits na. I just stick to reddit and youtube (subscribed to western channels, not to low quality Filipino shit channels). I still use messenger though, but I use it to contact some family members lang. I rid a lot of people who did not bother to contact me for the last 1 year before I deactivated my account for good.

So anong connection nun?

It kind of changes your perspective. Since I limit my source of info on reddit and yt, I saw some real passionate people sharing their stuff. You see other people successful in their chosen path and you got inspired by it and not get envious. I saw people sharing their stuff that we are passionate about, their stories etc on those platform and I dont get envious, or think lowly of myself but rather inspired me to move the goal post a little bit farther where I set it before. I didnt feel this way browsing facebook.

Since I stopped using this brain draining socmed, I think I was able to focus on myself more (e.g. I spent more timd upskilling instead of being sorry myself) and not be anxious on where people are at now in life. It kind of give me a different benchmark. Its liberating.

It also teaches you that you shouldn't give an iota of fuck that they went to a beach of a coast on a foreign land. Because why would you care? Yan ba yung benchmark mo sa buhay? Wala naman mali dun kung yun din gusto mo. Then do something about it. Plan ka din ng travels etc. Doesnt have to be expensive, hanap k ng places dito sa pilipinas na wala pa nakakapunta na accessible and cheap, something you found interesting. Take a picture of that place and post it here on reddit, me mga subreddit yan dito for sure if posting those kind of stuff is your thing. Wag mo na sya ipost sa facebook.

Also remember, hindi naman nila ipopost sa socmed yung mga hardship nila sa buhay. They might went on off an expensive trip but would they post it na kinaskas nila sa credit card yun and they are in debt? Would they post those things as well on fb? Of course not. You only see one aspect of their life and that is not how life works.

And also if you do get the full info about their life, whats in it for you?

Pag narid off mo yang mga finofollow mo na socmed, perhaps it can give you more control over your life just like it did on mine and imagine where it got me. Ang dami anxiety nawala sakin.
