Legal Situation & Fostering Update

We protected our child. This isn't applicable to every case out there, and I'm not saying it is or should be. I'm also not intending to imply that every fight against the system should be "fighting tooth and nail to prevent them living with their family who is safe, available, and wants to care for them". What I'm saying is that if the system is failing to protect to children it's meant to protect, that until we are told otherwise, our duties as parents (again, foster and bio) are to advocate for them and their best interests.

Again, this post was meant to encourage and give hope to others feeling overwhelmed by the system. I recognize my privilege that I was able to advocate how I did, but I'm also not saying nro implying that's the only way to advocate.
