[L'equipe] Arsene Wenger, "If we want to democratize football, the World cup will have to be hosted in African countries where it's impossible to play it in the summer. We can see that a World cup works with this edition in Qatar."

  1. As I said, I see the World Cup as a gift to a country, and for it to be a gift there must be a thriving football culture in the country and the raw number of domestic fans helps measure how important football is in a country. Countries like Egypt, Algeria, Morocco and even Israel all have, and unlike Qatar, a thriving football culture. And the bigger the number of fans you have in the country the more valuable your bid will be.

  2. It is a simple matter to me, if your country allows freedoms to all people regardless if sex, race, sexual identity and expression, religion or lack of religion then you are a better choice to host the World Cup, it doesn't make your country perfect but it will make everybody feel welcome to celebrate this event in your country.
