Just trying it? Yeah, It's not going to kill you trying once and you won't be addicted trying it once or even a few times. You tried it a couple times in HS? Good for you, you sound like an expert.

There are so many things wrong with pretty everything you have said here, that I'm positive you don't know anyone who regularly uses meth other than some casual acquaintances. They're are no people that use it regularly that do don't have serious issues, it can't be done, it's impossible. You can't hold a job or relationship, care for children (properly), and it eventually leads to crime and jail. Some may last longer than others, but eventually this happens to all of them unitil they find a way to kick or they end up dead or prison for a long time.

With alcohol and marijuana, you can do little each day and there's nothing wrong with that. There no such thing as just doing a little meth everyday. It's a lifestyle. Just doing enough to get to "get off", will leave someone wired for 12 to 36 hours in most cases, but rarely does someone just do that amount. They'll do 10 times what's needed to get off in the first 24hrs and just keep going. I've seen people who have been awake for 10 days straight (most don't do it that long at a time, but most have had that bender at some point) and have heard of some going much longer. When you see someone like that, they're not even enjoying it anymore, they're doing it just to keep it going. I think because a lot fear the come down and nothing in life will be enjoyable for days after they come down. They're literally insane at this point, hearing shit, seeing shit, they're speech is so off that they really can't communicate. It's bad. Not to mention the damage done to the body and mind after that long.

So you may say "so, if they want to do that to themselves, then so be it". And... I generally agree with that. But it sucks to seeing people go down the hole like that and seeing families destroyed. They'll also at some point be a danger to others too when they've been up for few days and need to go get more... or have to go anywhere.
