Male student given in-school suspension for wearing nail polish to Texas high school

FWIW I went to a Quaker school and they were extremely chill in terms of religious agendas. In my 6 years there I took exactly one 3 month course about Quakerism and it was expressly about only the history of the movement. In general they’re not very pushy people and believe you can be a Quaker while practicing or not any other religion you want, I think I knew maybe a dozen kids who would actually call themselves Quakers outside of the school. We had meeting (basically Quaker church) once a week during school but there was no sermon or pastor we would all just sit in silence in a big room and think about whatever, and if you felt inclined you could stand up and say something briefly to the school. Kids would use it to come out or vent about anxieties, rarely ever was religion brought up (although you were free to).
