Give me an opinion on a topic you feel strongly about and I will try to argue against it.

If this person really wanted you dead, and they had access to a gun then you would not be alive right now. Since they did not have a gun and they didn't find yours you are alive.

You know people survival gun shit wounds and succumb to stab wounds.

Guns allow people to respond to a situation where the intensity has already been increased to the threat bodily harm.

This is true but it also increases the overall threat level.

No it doesn't. It already at a threat of bodily harm.

Emotions can get disturbed all the time but if you do not have the capacity to cause harm then you won't.

If someone is trying to cause bodily harm to me I want the capacity to do harm back if it can stop the threat.

I would rather be in a situation where I was being threatened but neither of us had guns then be in a situation where I was being threatened but both of us had guns.

I would rather be in a situation where I have a choice to deploy a firearm if needed.

Think of this situation. You for whatever reason are being threatened by another person who has a gun that is not drawn. You also have a gun that is not drawn. At what point is it ok to draw your weapon? Are you going to leave that up to the average person to decide?

If they are threatening you with bodily harm you can do whatever you can (without causing collateral damage) to stop that threat. You are not obligated to allow someone to harm you.
