Meat is too expensive. Help

Pork shoulder, (if diet etc permits), generally, <2.50/lb US is good option: tacos, pulled pork, chile verde.

Pork porterhouse <4-5/lb US these days is not terrible, but can get for 3 range/lb at Raleys/Nob Hill. Salt + Pepper don't over grill, easy, acts like chicken, speaking of:

boneless chicken breast (and skinless), 3.99/lb is target price (sans organic etc). Probably get thighs for same price (but they shouldn't be).

Beef: tougher these days, top sirloin maybe. But, even those prices are touching what one might pay for ribeye or NY. skirt steak is closing in, and has surpassed some finer cuts (14/lb anyone)? Now that I'm thinking about it, I don't even know if this is helpful: These are prices in CA, larger city.
