I’ll try, there are plenty of players in the NFL that have the skill set to accomplish what he accomplished at the return position. But you wanna know why they weren’t returning kicks? Because they were far more valuable at their actual positions. So why put an elite WR in a super dangerous position when you can stick any expendable athlete back there. Hester is the best returner ever but if he was great at literally anything else he would have stopped returning kicks early in his career. You’re telling me if I put Tyreek Hill back there every time he wouldn’t be taking kicks to the crib left and right? It’s the same reason I don’t think a player like Matthew slater should be in the hall. I love Matt slater but as it stands he’s only the elite gunner he is because he couldn’t cut it at his actual position.
