I'm surprised nobody's said a kick in the testicles yet. I thought this was the classic thought experiment comparison?

Childbirth lasts significantly longer so in that sense it's probably worse, but I have to feel like if you compared the worst acute moment of pain in birth to the moment of getting kicked in the balls, it'd be subjective to compare, but there's a comparable concentration of nerves being affected so it would have to be close.

And psychologically, there's so much built up in the idea of injuring your testicles being one of the worst things that can happen to you. I can't relate to what the idea of birth is built up to feel like. Painful, yes, but kind of the opposite of testicle injury in terms of whether it "should be happening to you" or not in the sense that one's creating offspring and the other's possibly making it impossible to ever again if that makes sense? I'm not saying that makes the pain easier to deal with but possibly a little less of a "my life is over" feeling?

I feel like there's no way to write this without being dismissive of an experience I will never be able to have and that is 100% not my intention, so I do apologize, if I've given that impression?
