Do men seriously not gain any emotional attachment during sex?!?!

I'll still be vulnerable in bed with women I know I'm not compatible with long-term if I otherwise like them. I had a hookup like this earlier this year with someone I met at a bar on vacation, and I thought we actually had a pretty good connection. She was a 22 year old college senior about to graduate, I am 31 and trying to get married and have kids sooner rather than later, and we live on opposite sides of the country. It was never going to work because we are in different places in life and far away from each other, but it was nice to think about in the moment. I never texted her because I stupidly assumed we were on the same page about that's but then she (I think drunk) texted me one night and then promptly ghosted me when I responded, which I probably deserved. I should have just texted her even if it wasn't going anywhere.

Sex is one of the few times where it feels like, societally, men are allowed to be emotionally vulnerable, so yeah, men can get like that.
