Miami spent $350,000 on new park lights. The park closes at sundown

They installed 53 lights for 350K or about 6600 per light. That sounded a touch high to me. I found out what lights they were from Miami‘s website for the project. Luce Solare BLS-6A for anyone wondering. A quick Google search shows the light is about $1400 and I’d expect a discount for 50+. These don’t need a fancy pole like a normal street light. They’re made to slip fit onto a 2.75” O.D. pole. The solar panel, battery and LED module are all built into the light so there shouldn’t be any additional electrical work.
