As a counter point, taking time off to not think about dating may be what OP needs to prepare herself to go out and find the right person. Leaving the option open if she met someone is good too though.

Personal anecdote: I decided to an indefinite break from dating to just work on bettering myself and pursuing things that brought me happiness. It was wonderful. Not saying life because all sunshine and rainbows, but I gained more self awareness and confidence in my life choices. Then I ended up meeting a friend of a friend who just blew me away. What made it better though was knowing that he was seeing the me I'd worked hard at becoming. None of my external problems that I used to be so insecure about had changed, but the time not dating had helped my improve my views and approach to dating and relationships.
