"A Missouri Highway Patrol trooper, who spoke out against the agency after the drowning death of an Iowa man, has been...demoted to corporal and moved from Lake of the Ozarks where he’s patrolled for nearly three decades."

This is about my home town. I can say these cops are just as corrupt as any other city cop. I got a bullshit dui and fought it through appeals, but the cop promised the judge that I had "soiled myself" which means I had shit and pissed my pants to make sure the charge stuck. The charges could have been dismissed if the cop would have been wearing a camera or had at least a dash cam. So yeah I spent tens of thousands of dollars and spent two years on probation breathing through a breath analyzer machine which cost $75 a month, to start my car and had to take time off of work to go to probation office once a week. All while I was going to college full time and working two jobs and trying to be with my girl friend at the time. Sometimes when life isn't hard enough already, cops will find a way to make it harder and try to ruin your life. But I stuck in there and made it and never looked back. Other than the fact my body violently shakes when a cop approaches me because I'm really scared they are going to try to ruin my life again someday. Then in a totally other state, my brother got a dui and the breath analyzer and a blood test proved he was NOT drunk, but he still had to go to court to get it dismissed. Somehow it still shows on his record he was charged with a DUI. Then on top of that, my father got charged with a felony in lake of the ozarks because he cancelled a $600 dollar check for a boat repair shop that did not fix the boat, that boat repair guy knew the judge and went along with him, but luckily the judge retired in the middle of the trial and the next new judge threw out all the charges immediately. My dad still had to pay a lot of money to the courts and lawyers though. So yeah lots judges and cops in the US are a bunch of crooked bastards. Some may be good, but the majority are super evil from my families experiences. I have even more stories bad stories about them but I should just stop here. I would have to write a book about all the bad experience that just my immediate family has had with them. Somehow my rich relatives who actually did do fucked up shit were able to pay their way out of their troubles. It's all fucking bullshit.
