Model, 14, collapses and dies after 12-hour fashion show

A 12 hour show isn't unusual at all. They can stretch in multiple day affairs because make-up, hair, and other miscellaneous prep work can take up hours between wardrobe changes. This was a Russian child model. The backstage of a fashion show is frantic, but not enough to warrant dropping dead of exhaustion if you're a model. If I had to guess, based on personal experience, they've loaded her full of stimulants when she got sick because 99.9% of a time these young Russian models are meal tickets for some potato farming asshole that got lucky enough to pop out a kid worth more on a runway than a brothel.

If it sounds like I'm being cruel, or stereotyping, know that I'm not. Russian stage parents, ESPECIALLY in modeling, are pimps that don't give a shit about these kids. When you bring it up, you get accused of not 'sympathizing with the situation they're coming from'. Oh, I know where they're coming from. It's the same place Mother Russia got her Rolex before telling her kid she couldn't even eat a fucking carrot stick.

Anyways, sorry for the rant. I've got more than a few qualms when it comes to minors and international modeling.
