Username checks out? Seriously though you and I have very different memories of Sissoko's time here. He looked like he had the ability to be our best player while he was here, but he only turned it on for 10 minutes per game to look good on MOTD. Every week he'd do 1 or 2 great runs where he'd make it look like a defender just wasn't there and then his cross didn't quite come off - but that's because his end product was shit, he can barely cross and 90% of his shots were terrible. There's no point getting past a defender if the only thing you can then do is pass it backwards to a teammate or lose the ball.

To mention him in the same context as Ginola, Gazza etc is a travesty, I love those guys and have a lot of fondness for those and other former ex-players but that doesn't automatically extend to all of our past players. I don't have a soft spot for Boumsong, Bramble or Nile Ranger for example.

However, I will agree that getting £30m from Spurs for him is one of my favourite things that's happened to Newcastle for some time and I can't not grin like a loon to this day whenever I think about it. But I wouldn't want him back on loan even if they paid us another £30m for doing so, it seems like his toxic presence in the dressing room, let alone on the field, was a big part of why we went down
