My first talk with a vegan.

I'd argue that a huge number (maybe the majority?) of the youth in morocco lives a somewhat secular lifestyle. they have no issue with premarital sex, drugs, alcohol and countless other things that go against islam. the main issue is culture and lack of understanding of different diets, religion plays a role in it too but it's quite small imo and it's usually with older people.

veganism is often promoted on social media, younger generations in morocco love using social media, it's not gonna be long before people start hearing about it. I follow a couple of moroccan influencers, those are the ones moroccans look up to and I've heard many of them speaking on vegetarian or vegan diets.
