I was clear there was NO reason to continue the relationship as nothing in OP´s description that explains why he had not left already.

Sometimes though in most horrible relationship the carrot of a good sex life keeps the relationship going longer than it should. A good sexlife at least shows there is some passion in an otherwise dysfunctional relationship.

I accept that I was writing too short - but my point was if there is nothing positive in OP´s relationship there is no reason to stay - however if there are some positive elements (such as a good sex life/great cooking/a clean home/great parties whatever) - you can give yourself time to evaluate if you are ready leave right away or not.
