My husband fell in love with a house and we're making an offer. I'm not really a farmhouse-type girl. I love the space, just not the style. I made a few changes to it via photoshop. Any thoughts/suggestions for elevating the look to more urban/industrial/boho which are more my style?

You could stain the stairs draker like the wood floor you changed but paint the sides and railing white. Also stain the windows and baseboards darker and the front stair banister railing dark and the top side of the stairs darker. Then you could lighten the roof wood and possibly paint it white. Change the back wall to a light greenish grey and possibly add and addition accent wall by the right fireplace. Also paint the fireplace white bit with a sponge so it shows through if that makes sense. Also if that bookshelf is built in stain it dark and add the accent of white like the stairs. Then bring in farm house style decor! You could change the dining room table to a farm style table and a new rug. You could add a cozy runner rug over the stairs or our a fur rug at the top of the stairs. You could add a bench area near the door that’s Greyish green and plush decorative pillows. Then add curtains to the back door in the dining room and room to the right and some decorative blinds for the back windows. You can add lots of rigs or runners for added comfort and layer fabrics and textures. Then add maybe a decorative mirror to reflect that amazing view and lighting. Congrats on the new home and cheers to making it your own! ( I can make an edit of it if this was confusing to follow)
