Two years ago, my best friend for 20 years decidied to become a trans woman, yet still is heterosexual.

Some changes were a bit strange and akward to me having a 20 year close friendship with him, now her. But it was still simple to navigate given a bit of effort.... one of our conversations in the beginning ended with this point of view she gave to me.

"You've known me for 20 years. Aside from a little more feniminity, and a new name, you still know me.. but now you see who is me on the inside, nothing about the core of knowing me and our friendship changes, this is who i feel i am on the inside but couldnt show it. Now you just get to see it represented physically.
