Yeah for sure. Trans people have to make this distinction all the time because people bring it up as a way to somehow invalidate trans people. People think that trans people transition just because they wanna wear a dress or paint their nails or wear makeup or whatever, which is ridiculous.

GNC and Trans people are separated already. The people who try to compare them or even combine them are almost always doing it as a way to argue against trans people. Like "you can like feminine things, you can just be a feminine guy". But like.. if I have dysphoria then just indulging my "feminine" interests like makeup or whatever isn't going to relieve that dysphoria at all, and potentially would even make it worse.
