Also, to define the contracts for passenger damage, generally they only approve those claims if say a passenger opens a door and hits a curb with it and dents the door....a passenger rips your seats intentionally, punches or kicks out a window/the side of the vehicle. Things like handles falling off they consider normal wear and tare and the ONLY reason I was able to get Uber to pay for it when it happened a few years back is it WAS by a customer being rough with the door and I had him on camera. I run dash cams on all of my trips. When I went to the local Uber hub and showed them the broken handle and the video of the kid breaking it, they had no option but to charge the customer for the repair.
