Need some advice. Current house manager quit because “he didn’t like what Exec required” and I’ve been asked to take up the position. If I take it what are some tips from other house managers and what should I do from the get go?

Do you own your house or do you rent a house from some scummy, shady landlord?

I dealt with some housing issues as a member of exec and both housing managers during my time were good friends. For my chapter, since we until recently had a shady as fuck landlord managing both our important houses, we had lots of problems with getting rent in on time, fixing up the house, etc.

The job will take lots of time. That's an understatement. If you don't want this job, don't take it. Only take it if you're ready to put in 110%. You're gonna be responsible for rent collection, for fixing the house, for maintaining the house, etc. People will be unhappy with you for a variety of reasons, even if you do your best. Some won't pay rent and will ghost you. So if you do take the job, don't try to be that nice guy, or you won't get anything done. In that job, it's you against the world, as bad as that sounds. Get help from exec as much as you can, as 11 minds are better than 1.
