Needed a work truck and ended up with a 1993 f-250 7.3 idi turbo diesel...And I absolutely love it!

Started a small business doing hardscape projects and small excavation. Ended up deciding to go with something big enough to haul my dump trailer and a mini or skidsteer in the future. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing or even lookin for. I've never owned a diesel in my life...or even a truck!

Ended up finding this truck, and getting it for 1,800 bucks. It had a completely rotted away shackle and hanger, and a hard shifting issue. Thank god my father has tools because working on a truck is nothing like a car. Took a few days of grinding, pounding and crying to get the new one on. Plus a 20 dollar throttle position sensor and having a friend installing and adjusting the lever and sensor and the shifting is smooth as silk!

I absolutely love this truck, but I feel I got extremely lucky. I bought this truck because it had new tires, new inspection, no leaking fluids, and a solid non rusted frame(and low price) but after the fact, I realize I overlooked so many things That could have made this truck a bust.
