[US] Netflix down in Bayarea.

Here's the story:

Netflix did something to their website. Most likely rolling out an update. The website was broken for ,me and several of my friends in the Bay area (CA). By broken I mean it was loading text and stock images. I actually found "Ways to Watch" was loading correctly. I called customer support 3 times. The first two times they just kept trying to blame my computer and my ISP. I refused to restart my computer or call my ISP while I was on the line because my friends at other locations were also having the same issue. I did confirm Youtube was working and for kicks I started downloading "Dark Souls" through Steam. I told them that I have friends down the street that were seeing the same issue with the website. I even pointed out to the customer service people that downdetector.com had an increased number of service down reports around the time the service went down for me.

Netflix gave me one free month after I called a 3rd time and asked to speak with a supervisor. I never got to speak with a supervisor. Just disappointing that Netflix's customer service protocol is designed to blame the user and ends at blaming the ISP. Though, I guess the true final protocol is : "If the guy wont shutup give em a free month".

Anyways, I'll continue using the service. I just hope some adjustments are made to the customer service protocol.
