I live in Australia and am also shocked. Frankly I've drank too much. I heard online that one of the shooters wanted to "draw attention to the second amendment" in the United States. How utterly detestable. Less than a day after killing so many people and they make it political. I'm utterly disgusted in the people who did this. There's politics and then there's literal life and death, and like you said, people burning themselves alive. My heartfelt support for you, and everyone else living in New Zealand who's been hurt by this. For anyone who was there, I can only imagine what it was like caught between active shooters and armed police. I cannot imagine.
