The majority of English-only constituencies are represented by Tory MPs, it would be wrong of Scotland to impose a Labour government on them unless they vote for it too. We the people of Scotland have the right to vote for MPs who represent Scottish interests and Scottish interests alone, to suggest we "owe" the UK by voting Labour is ludicrous, give that:

A) 28% of Scots voted Tory, giving Scotland just 12 Tory MPs, while nearly 45% of England did, giving almost 300 more - but somehow its our fault?

B) Labour in Scotland were tacitly encouraging tactical voting in some places, because their blind unionism and tribal hatred of the SNP comes before keeping Tories out.

The UK owes us over 40 years of pilfered oil wealth.

The UK owes us sanctity of peace by removing from our shores the nuclear weapons that we consistently oppose.

But most of all, the UK owes us the choice to fulfil our destiny as a modest and peaceful country within the European family of nations in the spirit of internationalism and our democratic rejection of Brexit. Until the English Left stops interpreting our pursuit of democracy and self-determination as a rejection of cross-border solidarity, it cannot and should not expect any such favour from the Scottish Left.
